ACCESSORY REPORT

As the economy is starting to get revving, as people start shopping again, and as things start to look,
well, better than they have in quite a while, fashion is responding in its predictably paradoxical way…

Restraint is creeping back onto the runways for Fall 2010.

Top Trends to Discover:  Fur in unlikely places...cinched waists...shoes for the ages...gloves that steal
focus...rings evolve into art...and the return of Big Hair!

Skins We're In
Fur is fierce.  And it's simply everywhere for Fall - whether the real thing or faux.
One of the freshest ways to wear fur is as a scarf, and of course,
Etcetera has that covered with the Lush scarf.

Nip/Tuck
Waists are BACK - with belts over coats!  Why hide that stunning belt when you can flaunt it all over town?  Grab
Etcetera's Adorned or Memento belt and cinch it in!  If a big belt doesn't work, try skinnying it up for a softer look.

Shoes
Happy News!  Stiletto heels were all over the runway, on boots and on perfect pumps as well.  Shoes and boots have
returned to truly wearable looks - clean lines, real-world wearable heels.  Boots are big, whether classic, laced up,
slouchy or in exotic skins.  Shoeties are still with us, too in all kinds of styles from lace to funky to shearling.

Put Your Hands Up!
Gloves are everywhere in all lengths and materials.  Over the elbow, mixed materials, knits, and driving gloves too.  And
the layered look continues in jewelry - and it's found a new outlet on our hands in rings...stack 'em up, ladies!

Big Doings
Big Hair is Back!  Call it the Snooki effect, whatever...but teased
volume ruled the runways.  If Madam Secretary has caught the
trend, it's time to buy your Bump-Its!

boyfriend jackets, oversized tunics, skinny legs.  Tap into a
mind for business circa 1988.  Take it to the max.  Flashback to
"Working Girl" the movie and you've got it.

2 >> trend: Loving the 80s
In case you missed it the first time, the 80s are totally back.  As
wicked as Mugler, Montana, Kamali; power-babe as "Dynasty"
and "Dallas".  Done with motorcycle jackets, flash-dancer
jerseys, body-rocking dresses; things layered, draped, ruched,
radically off-center.

Give in to your animal instincts.  Go where the wild things are.
Big game prints; plush-as-fur fabrics; loopy poodle stitches;
sauvage shapes; savanna shades.  Fur is top of the trends.
Mostly fee-fie-faux and, without question, a must.

7 >> trend: East Village Chic
Do uptown style with a downtown vibe.  Release the spirit.
Think soft and wild and free.  Dresses over leggings; paisley
and animal prints; leathers and suedes; fabrics that float and
drift; accessories wrapped and slung.  Keep it loose, give it
personality.

8 >> trend: Glam Slam
Over-the-top glamour.  Not a wallflower in the bunch.  Vintage
leopard, supple leather; sizzling color; silk, sequins, metallic
denim.  Dazzling by day.  Scene-stealing by night.
