Bags There isn't any in between (well, not much...) Spring's bags are either very large or they are small. Large was usually a structured satchel, and small was always a clutch. Whether big or teeny, one or a lot, they were adorned with tassels. Across the board at all shows. Not a reason in the world you can't add tassels to the bags in your closet right now...think contrast and get creative! Jewelry Tassels also extend into longer chains for Spring. Bib necklaces, fabric ties, layering all remain strong looks. Big bangles are stacked up arms, as are a new entry: friendship bracelets. Fingerless gloves, faux tattoos, anything goes on arms this spring! Shoes Feet are most definitely wrapped this spring. Straps enclose the ankles, cross over the arch, all still atop platforms and heels. Kitten heels are back, too. Grey will be a strong choice for Spring's palette for shoes as seen in THIS perfect shoe... Match Point Lots of the top designers sent looks down the runway that were, well, trend translates to the real world with bags & shoes paired together, whether tonal or contrasting. Odds 'N Ends Tumi's fabulous new roll-aboard in a python pattern will so not get lost at baggage claim....Special Edition Valentino Sunglasses feature a lightweight metal "lace" at the temples which brings a touch of rock-chic to the oversized, star-worthy frames.....J.Crew has a fabulous, well priced lined of gorgeous gems for the real world. Layer away, ladies. Spring Show Dates: 2/26 - 3/3 |
| 3) Nip Tuck The volume control - major! Toss it. Tie it. The belt's the thing. Narrowly nipped. Seriously cinched. Loosely sashed. |
| Pantone Institute's Pick for the Color of the Year Turquoise was selected as the color of 2010 by Pantone, a company that tracks color trends for fashion and home decor. The shade is on the cusp of blue and green, which makes it both inviting and serene - characteristics associated with blues - and invigorating and luminous, which comes from green. "Transporting" was a word many used for turquoise as it brings to mind the sea and vacations. Use it to liven up a conservative look; it also is a year round choice as it pairs well with gray, navy, black, brown, white and coral. |
